Labin & Rabac

The town of Labin is situated on a hill above Rabac. It is divided into two parts- the old on the hill and the new part of the town.

Walking along the stone streets of the old town you may visit the Church of the Birth of Blessed Saint Mary, National Museum, numerous galleries of local artists and enjoy the beauties of this historic town. You must inevitably visit a model of a coal mine, unique in Europe. Climb up the narrow streets to the fortress Fortica for a splendid panoramic view of Rabac and the island of Cres, the new part of the town and Učka mountain.

After the sightseeing in Labin, get down the hill and visit once a small fishermen’s village and today a well known tourist resort, Rabac. Go for a walk along the sea promenade and breathe in the scent of pine trees, listen attentively to the nicest melody in the world- the sound of waves.
